    Default final 2 players

When you get down to last 2 players, usually a lot of shove or fold, at least single table sng's that i play in. I uses to try and wait til I got a decent hand, at least one face card anyway, and let other guy take blind after blind, but now I try to be the guy taking blinds. Seems to me most hands are 60/40 and blinds are so high its not worth giving away a bunch of blinds to try and be the 60. If I'm the bs, I'll usually call almost any 2, specially if I see he's just going every hand. Does anyone have a card range at this pt. Usually in 9 man games I play blinds are usually 200/400 give or take a level when it gets to hu and theres only 13500 chips total so only 20 blinds all together.

Have you looked at the SAGE poker system for heads up play? I spotted this a little while ago and took a look at it, and it seems interesting - but I haven't had the opportunity to try it out as yet.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

    i lol'd at this ^

Also, SNG HU play, take advantage of your opponent's tendancies.. .ie. if they're too tight in BB.. then by all means 'minraise' every time you're on BTN.
Also, if I'm bigstack I'm not necessarily calling their shoves light at all. I mean one double up & the table swings to where they're even 'or' they're the chip leader now.

With blinds at 200/400 I'm guessing you're playing 'turbo' sng's? (I don't play turbo anymore). In reg. sng's the blinds often aren't up quite that high when you reach HU & still lots of oppurtunity to take advantage of the other player's tendancies, especially if they're a newer-'ish' player. General rule of thumb > raise wide... call tight. (raising on SB (the btn) & folding in BB...but of course 'it depends', lol... ie. if villain is raising SB every time then for sure we're 3betting him more often).

To keep it simple though, raise when in SB! (you want to be playing bigger pots while in position)

My pt. PO was when the blinds are that big. For example, if you get to HU and have a big lead, say 11000 to 2500 and blinds are 200/400, I just don't see the advantage to fold atc. You are usually at least 40%, so if you fold 3 times because of bad cards, you've given opp. 1800 chips and now a double up and you're behind. I assume 60/40 so odds are better to hit 1 out of 2 40% chances then it is to hit 1 60%, so I don't see adv. of folding to hope and get a 60%. Its not like you can wait around for a PP or big A at those blinds. Btw, I do play turbo's on FT mostly, I like the blind structure there and the reg. sit n go's seem to just drag out longer, still get to hu with big blinds. Some times I think the turbos go faster with right players, since they sometimes play more agg. being in a turbo. Tonight for ex. a 9 man sng was down to 6 after 5 hands and these weren't AA KK type hands either. Guy pushin allin on a gut shot, another A 9 preflop (I had AK). I love playing late sat. night.
