    Default Turbo v regular

Do you play turbo tourneys diff than regular?? which do you like better?

Most definately. Gotta play a little more loose early, more so than you would in a regular blind level game.

you can't play as conservatively. you have to pick a hand and be willing to go with it.

and you have to be a lot luckier.

It depends how turbo the turbo is but you have to be more aggressive with turbo. If the blinds are increasing at a rapid rate than you have to loosen up. I expand my starting hand and play aggressively before and after flop. There is alot of luck in turbo because you have to push so much that it takes alot of finesse out of game.

    Cool Turbo vs. Reg.

To be honest, I have not played as many turbo's as regular. But my last two times have been a turbo 6 handed. 2 for 2 ITM. LOL Only pays top two. No wins yet. I'm starting to think i need to play them a lot more often. My ROI. has improved 10% I also have not changed my game what so ever.

    Default turbos

    hi

turbos are obviously alot quicker - in terms of the blinds going up - so you have less time to sit and pick your premium hands

the up side of turbos is it tends to attract impatient gamblers who want action - so its a balance between being aware of the blinds going up quick but not playing as loose and desperate as the majority of the table

hope thats a help - personally I dont like to feel cornered by the rising blinds issue as it doesnt suut my perferred game

I tend to play more on control than I do on just ABC tight aggressive & the cards - but dont try that straight away - it can be very swingy and turbos are not the place to do it against players who are pretty much wanting to call anything

    cheers scrawnybob

I know you said torunament play,BUT:-

Now Listen Up and I am VERY serious!

If YOU want to play Computer CASH for serious money (ring game) You want a TURBO table!

WHY? Because "they" dont have time to use IM to collude!

Tournaments STAY AWAY from ANYTHING with TURBO in the name of it!

    Default agreed with GT

    hi

just to add I was talking about turbo tournaments / SNG's etc not cash games ...

GT adds a very useful and valid point ... playing cash games there isnt any downside to playing turbo's

    and several upsides ...

as GT said (I never throught about it) they are less able to collude on IM at a turbo cash table as they will time out

again the turbo format suggests people are impatient and want action action action and dont like waiting ... this will generally mean not alot of thought process is going on (even if they had all day they are still not really thinking)

you should IMHO be able to make quick good decision in the time turbo cash games allow ... it really isnt a panic (but they do)

I think (GT may back me up on this) that you should be predicting and deciding what you are going to do ... before the cards, while players are acting and finally maybe adjust your decision when it is your turn to act

cash games become almost automatic after a while what you want to happen, then you see it happen, then you make the bet you planned / predicted you want or should make

being a turbo shouldnt affect this as your watching the game as it happens - turbos do affect other players though by there very nature

GT...the man of the ever changing avater

P.S: i like turbo games just because they are faster....but there is deffinatly adjustments needed in ur play compared to 10 minute blinds or higher
