Ufc fights tonight

dont know if anybody is on tonight (on the Forum) but is anybody watching the ufc free show tonight on spike?

anybody have any predictions ?

My hubby and I are getting ready to watch the fights together tonight too. I'm one of those gals that likes to hang out with the guys watching the fights and yelling at the tv, while the other gals are in the kitchen doing their nails..lol. (This really happened during the fight between Rampage Jackson and Chuck Lidell) ("not that there's anything wrong with that.." (gals))

Anyway... as far as tonight goes, Joe Lauzon is great with submissions and Jeremy Stephens can really knock someone out in a hurry if he gets the chance. So typicallly, if Lauzon gets Stephens on the ground and can submit him before Stephens finds his mark, then he might be able to pull it off. And, as I've seen many times, it could be just as likely that Stephens will come out swinging and make this fight the next one to be on UFC's Quickest Knock-outs..lol.

Lately I have been seeing a lot of these classic striker vs. submission expert type fights becoming more and more exciting. With the way MMA has been progressing lately, most fighters need to work on all of their skills or they are gonna get left behind. If Lauzon tries out his striking skills and Stephens has been working on his ground game, the cage could get a rockin.

Man, Lauzon is quick!! When he finally submitted Stephens, it happened so fast, I almost missed it!

After Stephens cut Lauzon's forhead, Lauzon seemed to kick it up a notch. I figure he was getting blood in his eyes and wanted to get the fight over before he couldn't see..lol.

Anyway, pretty good night for fights. The other fight I was interested in was the Anthony Johnson fight against Luigi Fioravanti. Johnson is back from having eye surgery from that last fight where he got a finger poked waaayyy into his eyeball. That was so gross looking when it happened and I bet it hurt like craaazy!

Johnson's hard leg kicks really did a job on Luigi before Johnson was able to TKO him with a huge right and a bunch of hammerfists. I think after Luigi accidently gave him a low blow, Johnson wanted to just get the fight over before he had some other kind of "accident" that required surgery.. lol
