Playful,I think anyone would be considered a traitor if they rooted for another
country other than their own. So it is only normal for you to make such a gest.

Now as a sportsbettor, you have to look at the better team, not whether you have a link to it or not. I say you say this statement because you are a Canuck. You would have to be nuts to be saying this rubbish if you were an American. just as your fellow Canadiens would think you were talking rubbish if you stated the American's are better hockey
players(proof being the Americans already beat Canada) and deserve the gold.

The line says Canada -210.
United States +175.

So most bettors are saying Canada is the better team. So I agree, Money talks. Canada will probably win gold.

Silver is not a bad pill to swallow either, sleeping well knowing on any given night, Canada can get lucky and beat the Americans.

These Olympics have been a great rivalry in many sports. Since the Americans do not have the most gold, I tell everyone in the US, we have won the the most olympic medals in this winter Olympics. I could give a rip about 1 gold or silver medal, I want my country to win medals by the neckfuls, lol.

I won't hurt your feelings and let you in on a secret. You do know half of the canadian
hockey team first tried to make the American squad. But, failing that, since the American squad has so many talented players, they used their dual citizenship to qualify in a country that has less competition for a spot in the sport. We have at least 45 Americans competing for other countries, else our gold medal count would be higher.

And, being the home country, Canada, is allowed an extra contestant in each sport. So just like teams sports where you can draft behind another player and use another player to slow down contestants, canada has used that to its fullest. There was a 3 hour feature showing instances of canadians that would not be in the Olympics if the contest were held in another country. Enjoy the medal count this year. It showed them in various poses of deperation trying to knock our contenders out of gold medal contention or slowing opponents down.

Also, I hear your guys ordered rain. That makes the course so slippery, that talented players who are used to sking on powder would not finish races. At least 10 of 30 contestants in one race was given a did not finish(DNF). Of course canada did not have a DNF. They knew water was sprayed on the course, so they brought their ice skates instead of skis and won several skiing competitions. I am watching one wearing skates now, skiing downhill as I speak. It is sooooooo wrong...................This is supposed to be the Olympics.........................

Such utter nonsense isn,t worthy of a response. Hockey is so important in Canada like Soccer in Britain. Canada has 35 million people and the US has 365 million people but nearly everyone in Canada plays hockey.
It was insane last night like we won the SUPER BOWL or something.Every sports Bar across all of Canada had 2 hour line-ups before the Game to see it.I live in downtown Ottawa and afte rthe game Fans poured out onto the streets screeming, yelling.Cars were all HONKING their horns.People eventually walked up to our Parliament Buildings and gathering singing O Canada Anthem.In Toronto,s biggest street had to shut down to traffic as hundreds of thousands poured out into the streets to Party.
I have never seen anything like it in Canada ....

What might makes this year so special, I hear the Calgary and the Lake Placid games, gold medals were hard for Canadians to come by.
