Cliff Lee signs with Phillies

Was anyone else surprised by this? He has agreed to a 5 year $120 million contract wit the Phillies and thats about $30 million less than the Yankees offered him. I was so happy when he turned down the Yankees cuz i hate them with a passion lol. The Phillies are gonna be tough to beat this year as they definately have the best rotation in baseball with Halladay, Lee, Oswalt and Hamels in their rotation.

Cliff Lee is a very humble man
when he said it wasn't about the money, "how much is to much" and returning back to Philly was great for the fans and his family,

only wish more pro athletes would show the respect he does for a team

Yea most players its all about the money to them, im so glad the Yanks didnt get him.

That was awesome that he turned down those fekking Yanhees that buy their titles more then earning them, not many peeps left with that kind of integrity, very cool on his part indeed

Yep i agree, and its funny how they dont win titles like they should wit all the players they purchase. They need a salary cap and this overspending will stop and level the playing field for all teams.
