Who says baseball is not an exciting sport? If you didn't watch the games on the last day of the season you missed out on probably the most exciting season ending games in baseball, or for that matter, of any sport (3 games decided in the last inning). Don't forget that only 8 teams make the playoffs, compared to the NHL which takes 16 teams - IMO too many. Actually I think the best format is English Football (not Soccer) where teams are promoted and relegated between divisions.
Glad to see Papelbon blow it for the Red Sox (who I dislike but still picked them to win the division months back) - hope the Jays DON'T make an effort to sign him as a free agent, and I bet Crawford is booting himself (along with the ball) for not staying with the Rays.

Papelbon playing for the Jays would be better then closers in comity.

I did however enjoy seeing the RedSox not make it, even though I didn't give the Rays much credit at the start of the season. Mostly because of the atmosphere Manny would bring to the club, and I didn't revise my statement accordingly.
