I think this arguement is silly , when a brit says football , every1 nows its not american football. And when a USA says soccer brits are like , ITS FOOTBALL , but they have to distinguish 1 fe other because soccer isnt as big in USA , or is it football............im confused , lets play cricket

yea it totally depends on where your from. americans prefer it to be separate because football and soccer are totally different activities. but over in england and european countries football is totally different.

Why make a statement like that, what are you actually trying to achieve? I'm not actually particularly interested in football or american football, but I still don't see the point of upsetting people that do enjoy them. All it does is make you sound childish.

Just in USA (maybe some other few countries) you can talk about football like a different sport than soccer.
My favourite is "futbol" (soccer).
I played for years (still playing but just with friends) and about three years ago I finished my studies. I'm couch of a team that play in university league here in my country.

Fuck wipe america off the face of the earth and there is no such thing as soccer simple as that. Football is football. World series of baseball? i grew up playing football and i have to be honest, soccer to me is for guys who arent man enuff to play football. ive heard all about how there is so much running and kicking, so what. take a shot from a 6'3" 250lb linebacker or defensive end! to each their own i guess, but soccer doesnt even compare to football
