I've been playing HoldEm for about 2 years, ever since I watched the Poker Millions tournament on TV and taught myself the rules.

I started playing in the early 90's, and my early 20's while working nightshift at an oil refinery where we would have some down time. We played nickle ante dealer's choice. I went about 10 years without playing at all, until our church hired a new preacher, and he came in talking about this game called "texas holdem".
I hated it but I played and insisted on spending time playing dealer's choice so we could play some real poker like 7 stud and 5 draw no wild cards
Then as time went on, I kind of got hooked on his game
and then came on-line poker. Now I play a lot of holdem as well as all the games associated with horse.

I started playing in 2004 when I was a junior in high school. The poker boom just happened and it was all the rage. I was horrible. I had no idea about the basic mechanics and odds of Hold em. Pot odds and implied odds were not a part of my normal vocabulary. It wasn't until I did some reading a year or so ago that I started to understand the game.

i started playing NLHE back in 1995.
i've always enjoyed poker.

when i was 12, we were playing 5 card draw with fake chips.. and... well
i drew and made a royal... hah. you can say... the first time got me.

played a lot during end of '04 to mid '05.
was good for a while.
then the bad run came.... hah. oh well... life goes on.
