Yeah, it sure looks that way. And look at all the americans that lose their paychecks to our legal state lottos which has no skill. It is a legal roulette wheel. Yet the government wants to take away a game of skill.

state lottos are taxable - off shore poker sites are not.

......this may have just a little to do with it !
.........just because it is, doesn't make it so !!!

    Default lol just a bit

    hi Harry

I think they have more than a bit to do with it ;-)

seem to remember evil cat killer Frist has taken campaign money from -

Horse Racing group - they got an exclusion

Harrah's - they're shares went up as PartyPoker shares went down

and while he's sermonising to the world about the adictive nature of online gambling he's happy to take others cash for equally "addictive" products like cigarettes

his campaign against online gambling - lets remember the bill which is passed is still NOT a proper black and white ban on online poker - It's a backdoor attempt by a senator who is just trying to pick up votes from the southern baptists and the bible bashing south

not that I have anything against them - what they do is no one elses business - the same as what other Americans choose to do isn't any of theirs or Bill Frists either

If he was whiter than white ie. He hadnt adopted and killed cats while at Med School, taken money from other gambling and addictive companies ... and put the bill up on its own (he did and it didn't get anywhere) then fair enough

but he didn't and he isn't so it's hardly a law from the moral high ground and it's also still not a law which BANS online poker - It only enforces law against banking transactions with poker sites - The US banks havn't been dealing with online gambling for months anyway

    cheers scrawnybob

    Exclamation

Well said. The election will be over in less than a month. Hopefully this will go away soon with decreased hype of political affairs.
