Limit or no limit?

I have allways wondered why its almost allways Limit on 0.2/0.4$ table in cashgame, can anyone just tell me that, and i would be sooo glad ;>

No offense, but i think who ever invented limit holdem was a lil B****. i mean i hate it so much when you play limit, get a monster hand, and lose to a fish chasing with garbage cards because you cant scare them away. So im all for NO LIMIT!!

I'm surprised someone hasn't invented a computer that just plays limit for you. If you don't tilt and are VERY patient, it's an easy game to win. It's a science.

Hi,

I have been playing Tourneys and SNG in No Limit, but due to the fact that I donot want to lose my bankroll to a river card and to someone who just did all in to make me sit, but i had the top hand on flop and couldnot fold that.

Turn and River go to him and the junk hand becomes the winner..

But in Limit, there is a limit to what I can loose..hence it keeps my bankroll safe..

And there are lots of chasers, if you read them right and play for a long period you will win more than they do.

Limit is good if you don't want to risk a lot of your money. Thus good for begging in poker. To get a feeling of the game. Also recommend Limit for bonus playthrough.

I find it hard to play limit as I like the option to raise big or all in if I don't want to many callers.

Its a completely different game if you approach it with a NO Limit attitude you will get sucked out.

The thing that annoys me most is the number of times I have entered an MTT to find out once it starts that its Fixed Limit. I know I should read the small print but they should separate FL and NL tourneys the same as they do in the cash game lists or put a large health warning next to the entry " Fixed Limit can seriously damage a No Limit players bank roll
