lol - when's the book coming out Bob... of course, pocket 3's will always have the same odds of hitting as A's but you'll never know your on a head to head with another pair unless ur in an all-in situ. So for the most part ur up against 2 cards, and that gives them x3 more outs, plus many more str8 draws.. not to mention the chance of both cards hitting. Interesting tho, and I would like to know whether this returns more than it loses.

I've tried this and it always depends on how I read the table, but invariable I will never hit when I raise, or call a raise -so i'm still in a bit of a quandry as to the best blanket approach, purely so that I can once again sleep at night.

    Thanks tho...keep em coming boys

    Default well

wit pocket 2 your goin to be gambling more than wit Pocket 10 and higher...

Depending on how many people is left on the table i would either choose to bet preflop and gamble and dont...

Around here peeps call me trips cuz i tend to always hit my pockets, lol..

When low pocket pair hits, the game is urs and u can play it all u like... BUt wit a dangerious board, do the smart thing and fold = )

I think there are two often used strategies:

1.) Go all-in preflop or almost go all-in and push the rest in after the flop, no matter what happens.

2.) Call and try to get trips, or take the pot if there is only crap on the flop.

If the blinds aren't extremely high I prefere the second one and I tell you why

Think about who would call an all-in.
First anybody with with an overpair which makes you 1 to 5 underdog.
Second someone with AK, AQ and depending on your image also with AJ which makes you a slight favorite.
Third a short stack who needs to double up, with probably only one overcard, A2 or something. That would make you a 2 to 1 favorite.

All the other times you are going to pick up the blinds. Depending on your stack, the blind hight, the amount of player on the table and what happened in front of you you have to decide if you want to gamble.

If you decide not to you should usually limp-in if you the blinds level allows it.

sometimes I will slow play them, hope to catch a set some times I try to represent a big pair and if the flop comes out low no no draws I fire at it, try to take it down right away, then if another low card comes out I fire again sometimes I even fire at the A if I have position
