Thread: Heads-Up

    Default Heads-Up

    Hey!

I've recently lost three heads-ups in sit-and-go tournaments. I've always been the massive chipleader (about 3:1). My opponent always just kept going all-in and I didn't know what to do. I tried to call with something decent but lost, I've tried to steel the relatively high blinds with moving all-in myself but nothing really worked.

What do you do in such situations?

    Greetings

    Hey.

I would make sure I had a decent hand before making a move. If ur on top, the ones that is at bottom is desperate to get chips and will call a raise/all-in easy.

What I like to do is to put him/her on the spot, so that the opponent is forced to fold or call all in.

Remember, one hand is all u need, but the opponent needs far more to gain advantage (depending on stacks tho)

    GL and hope u succeed

I think it's very hard to tell what to do in pretty much every situation in a heads-up... Especially if you've got a decent opponent there is no way you can play a hand 'by the book'. Sooner or later you will find out luck plays a huge part, especially when it comes to pre-flop all-ins (AT is a much better hand than 45 but 45 still wins a lot of times, I'm afraid)
