Composure after a big loss.

I was in a tournament recently i was chip leader on my table with £800 i was dealt AA, thought to myself cash in i raised £50, then i was re-raised another £100 i called. Flop came and it was A K K i sent all my chips in we turned over and to my shock and disbelief he had KK i lost $500 and i was in shock for another 10 hands. When eventually regained my composure and got lucky with a few hands i got back my chips and came 3rd overall and won £2000.

It was a big lesson learned for me and poker will never be the same, its even better than before!

interesting hand - personally I would have re-raised preflop at least half my stack and hoped he called / re-raised all-in

preflop you have the best possible hand - even against KK you are an 80% favourite

seeing the flop - you had to be thinking you have the best hand - only quad kings would bet you

so going all-in there wasnt really a bad move either - you could easily put him on AK

from your hand history you had more chips than him so your allin didnt take you out - good recovery

the only thing I would have done differently is get all-in preflop when you absolutely knew you were ahead

if the flop have been different and he had made trips on his PP you would have lost the advantage - good flop for you (just unlucky a better one for him)
