since poker tells in person are different from online since u cant see the persons eyes hand or body movement, u have to watch out for timing of bets/call/fold


what i mean is when a person doesnt like his/her hand they will fold 95% of the time mostly the whole time they will fold quickly this is a tell because if they have a good hand they will take a long time to bet they will move the meter into a spot that they feel that they should put in. if they take a long time to bet they are showing strength evaluate ur hand and see if u have the best hand on the board if u dont it would be a good time to fold

if there is a delay and a check they are debatin whether or not they are gonna hit their draws how to play it on the flop or turn or they have a low pair this is weakness but also watch out for slow players because they have an act of check raisin u and they suck alot because they confuze you if you see this player do this at a number of times and he does it to you hes strong play accordingly

if you get bet at quickly on turn or river that is also strength but see if the player is alwayz playin and if hes aggressive if hes tight this is strength if hes aggressive itll be mind bogglin but if u have top pair call if u feel ur confident put more chips in the pot and raise him.
~(hint: if he checks or cold calls on the flop and theres a draw on there and delays or quickly bets a large amount into the pot on the turn and thers three suits or cards to make a straight if u dont have a flush or straight of your own fold)~

if its a quick check this is where you have to be aggressive dont let him see a free card doesnt matter whats in your hand if he checks quickly he is very weak and is sayin take the pot i dont want it. you should bet into this 5 or 6 times the big blind. if you need help at all or just questions screen name is rloveisendless23 on aim if you happen to have aim

I think that you provide good information for online tells, although a word of caution, as i often use at least 1/2 my time before making a big call if i have the nutz. Often this will induce others to raise on the river in hopes of putting me off my hand.

Personnaly, i try to play my hand and that only. I dont bother with betting timing because the good players will just mess with youre mind.

what about when you have a flush draw with 4 cards and the river is about to come up after betting, big bets, big cards... you could have the nuts on the river, but you might have to go all in... I think the ratio is like 11 to 1 or something... but what else can we know with this particular hands when we are just waiting for the flush... shall we not wait if it is not secure? what about if you already put some money into it...

i forgot to add other things i was jus concentrating on the tells and all that stuff umm the way to play the flush is this way if your on the button with like A9 spades and the flop comes K J A since you have the flush draw and plus you can possibly hit runner runner not likely to happen but its still a rare draw to hit u no this guy has a pair of As and you know he has a higher kicker than you and hes gonna work your chip stack cuz thats wut there known for they will put pressure on u im tellin you too much play money or low limit players love to put those chips into the pot cuz they r afriad ur gonna hit somthin

so with your top pair with the flush draw if your sitin on 2200 in chips and he raises 550 on the flop you should call if a 1k i mean with this i would push if this happens but if you just wanna see the next card without commitin all ur chips go ahead and just call

honestly the only time your gonna hit anything is when you have the open ended straight flush draws with your top pair or middle pair or hands where you have alot of outs in tournaments gamble on flush draws once in a while but straight draws gamble on only open enders gut shot unless you have top pair with that fold unless your short handed or heads up

Players tend to be unpredictable and from my experience taking notes does not seem to help as the tournaments move fast.

Online tells i wouldn't be able to actually name them i just get a feeling when i know someone is bluffing or strong guess just instinct/

if someone bets exactly what you got, you should fold a medium hand.. thats my experience
