Jamie even says on HSP that he is not the best player, and that he never will be. Although he does want to be the best bluffer in the world.
I'd like to hear your reasons for calling Sammy Farha a fish! His style of play maybe to play really loose and aggressive, but that is the style that works for him and has been really successful and his omaha play is probably one of the best in the world!

I am not really crazy about Jamie either, I really don't consider him that great of a poker player, granted he won the 2006 ME, but if you watched him this year or on HSP, he really is not that good. Don't even consider him a great bluffer either. As for Sammy being a fish??!!?? Not even!
I know I said that Sam Farha is a fish, and what i meant by that was that in the big tournaments against people he has never played against, Sam rarely makes it deep in big tournaments if you look at the other pros in HSP. Also Thor Hansen, a Norwegian pro, said that every time he plays in a big cashgame with a lot of other pros, and Sam Farhas in it, hee's the most fishiest player there. Im not saying that he is a bad player, but compared to the other pro players in HSP, ecxept Jamie. His strengths is that he may talk some players into calling, folding, raising, or give away the strength of their hand. He also mixes it up alot. But in my eyes I dont think that he is one of the best players in the world.
In 1979 he took a patent on whitefilter sigarettes, and thats how he can play the limits that he plays today. He has not buildt a roll from scratch like Barry Greenstein, Ted Forrest or other high stakes players from his generation.
Not big on Gold either. I think the deck just ran over someone who had some concept of the game before the 2006 Main Event. He doesnt pick good spots to bluff. He picks bad boards to bluff on. The only reason we ever see him on TV is because he has enough money to donk off for the next 2 or 3 years. Alan Cunningham was obviously the best player at the 2006 ME final table.
But to this day, I still dont understand why Paul Wasika laid down that open ended straight flush draw with 7s8s to Gold. He should know that he is more than likely favored to win the hand unless someone has a set or a higher draw. That would have changed the entire out come of that event.
if you are able to get hold of this months poker player magazine there is an interview with Wasika and he talks about that hand an what he was thinking as it went down.

i dont have the live experienced is needed to analise if all these trash talk its really helping him. I ve seen some hands where he has invite a call no doubt about it, also negrenau speaks quite a lot and id love to play half good the way he does.

Do you have a link to a site on line or anything? Everytime I play and I ahve an open ended straight flush draw or an open ended draw w/ a flush draw I always tell myself, " Don't Paul Wasika this hand"
HE lost over 200k on the last few episodes of high stakes, but ive seen him making some great moves. I think he was an stablished pro before he won the main event.
