There really is no clear cut hands or ways to play cash games, everyone has their own style, you just have to find your game and grow from there. a lot of people will play suited connectors, any ace, connecting cards, any pairs, but its all personal preference. some are tight players some are loose aggressive, figure out what style you are and go from there. my suggestion though is not to turn into a calling station.

It all depends on the table you are at; what types of people are there. If you know your opponents play tight, you can cash off of raising position on them with any two cards, etc. If they play loose you should tighten up and pick your spots. Position is still important, but I wouldn't go all in with AK at a really loose/aggressive table because there's a chance it will get run right down. Wait out loose aggressive players and take advantage of tight ones. Pretty much common sense rules of poker. Most of all...make sure you know your opponents. Sit and watch a few hands go down before you decide what your moves should be and against who. Good luck!

I think B-Town hit it on the nose...it depends where you are and who you are sitting with; how the board texture is, what different styles you are facing...I play up to 2/5 NL cash and it just depends on how the others are playing; you adjust and also find your own style of play. You can read books, but you would become better by playing, even online or if you can find small home games (I don't know what stakes you play), try different things on the tables and see what works for you and what doesn't.

Lightbulb ABC poker

If you want to make money playing cash game, doesnt matter if it's hold em or a other game, you should play abc games, only play primium hands and grind it out, play the limped pots with reasonable hands, fold em if its raised or nobody entered the pot, you want to make profit out of the hand your going to play anywayz .
And like the above said, position is important, but we all know that , you dont go raising with a 10 off suit first to act ... ? or do u ?

finding ure style is important, i myself am a tight aggasive player but in a cash games unlke a tourney ppl dont fear losing as much, well no1 likes to, but u can just rebuy and come right back in. so there might be looserr players there so tighting up might pay off when some1 overplay their hand
