That is true except that in this situation there is no way of knowing that you are actually ahead. If you call you are praying to have a 50/50 shot, with that kind of raise it is more likey you are dominated by a higher pair, and therefore screwed. If a guy is over betting like that then you might as well wait till you know you have the best of it going in. Epecially since his stolen 250 will end up right back in your stack when you take him out.

Generally I would not call someone else's raise to pocket 2's. If you are not aggresive right out of the gate, then fold them. If I were going to hold them I would have bet heavy. That's my 2cents worth.

I would fold all day long online...live play, maybe a call.

That is interesting, why would you say that? I personally wouldn't call with 22 in either, but if i play it differently at all then generally I would make looser calls online, because the players tend to be less experienced and can find another game more easily if they go out, and therefore raise with worse hands giving you a better chance of having the better hand.

Am I missing something that would make you call looser in real play?

(and it can't be a play tight with loose players, and aggressive with tight players thing, because that has nothing to do with an all-in call, there is no such thing as an aggressive call)

Coin toss.

If I KNEW he had ak? Probably not. I dont risk tournament life on coin tosses. I'd wait for my spot.

But, how often do us poker players get the luxury of knowing?
