best tip for online poker

take notes and lots of them on other players u would be suprised how many familer faces u will see at the tables and notes just give u that upper hand on how the person plays i go to a table now at pokerstars or tourny and i'm almost gaureenteed to see someone that i have took notes on i usually end up rocking them.

Whenever you watch pro videos, they are ALWAYS taking notes on players. Must be something to it.

I had a guy at my live table scribbling some thing in a note book the other week, in the end the table all said if he didnt hurry up and Raise Hold or Fold the pencil would be proturding out of his ass, The F**king idiot
Dont think he had another pencil as he started to make quicker notes!

I really don't like the idea of someone doing that at a table either. Kinda retarted and somewhat unfair for the other players.

Yeah...good advice for online play, but in real life, thats just insanity.....it gives away tells, and its basically cheating.

I use notes on our local online game and now have about two thirds covered.most players are tight and passive.

There are about 10% who require some thought and change gears appropriately

watch out for flush draws and open ended str8 draws...becuase
people will catch that kind've stuff all day long

Home come its not cheating on the web, but its cheating in live play, I cann't quite remember but I seem to think Doyle or The Sailor memtioned some think years ago early in the bad lands/bad days, that most pro's wrote notes in live play!

Personally I dont give a sh*t what you do re notes in live play as long as you do not slow the game down every hand, If I think you cheating in live play I punch you in the head before you have time to tell me your not.
