Magic Note Taking from the Gypsy

As Requested in my PM box:-

Pre lib:- This is what I do, I am not saying it’s the best way, but I have been asked to post it so:-

NETPOKER.Texas Holdem

The main rule is NOT TO WRITE THEMin the server ! Use excel or note book, and keep it on your “desktop”

A poker game is split into 4 parts, STARTING HANDS / THE FLOP / THE TURN / THE RIVER

Example :- TIGHT / Passive / Passive /Semi Aggressive =

SHTight Starting hands / F Passive Flop Betting / T Passive Turn Betting / R Semi Aggressive River Betting.

Hope reader you are with it so far ???

OK: Codes:

Tight / Aggressive / Aggressive/ Aggressive . or for short CODE RED

Loose / Aggressive / Passive / Passive -“- CODE GREEN

A2Wdo / Aggressive / Aggressive / Aggressive -“- CODE BLACK

Now I have refined this down to the 3 above,over 10 years playing net poker, You may like to add more of your own, I am only classifying 3 because that’s all I need, I now change my play to one of the above to conter the other 2

So I have 3 code REDS and 3 Code Greens I play CODE BLACK!
I have 3 Code Blacks and 3 Code Reds I play code Green etc etc This is for 10 seat tables, it doesn’t matter if there are more than 3 types of players I work on 3.

Now Note THIS IS NOT FOR ALL THE GAME..If the table changes I change the way I play YOU HAVE TO BE Sensitive to ANY change at the table!

So all you need to do is learn the plays in the game, and the codes and all you need to write is RED,GREEN,BLACK so one of my notes may look like this for a player


GYPSYTEA 01/02/08 FullTilt Table xyz .50/1Cash------> You NEED THIS INFO
10:30 RED---------------à Thight/Aggressive/Aggressive/Aggressive
10:27 GREEN--------- à Change of gears at the time
11:00 BLACK----------à ditto
11:12 GREEN
Etc etc

Red is This script comment to Elaborate the scripts point Not written in notes!!!

There is an old WW2 flyboy saying and its this “Don’t Fly Straight and at the same Hight for MORE than 30min.s in the COMBAT ZONE”!

That means in poker DO NOT PLAY the Same way for more than 30 mins in the game

Any two starting cards will do. "A2wdo" you are playing the player not your cards, Loose starting hands, YOU have to play "A2wdo" some times in a tourny, its a gear change, so if a tables TIGHT you go to A2Wdo esp. in a late position.

I didnt understand one thing, why should we dont write it on the server ???

I regularly write notes on tough players and its been very good to me so far, but ive always think they may be able to read´em. I think when u write notes on someone these notes are saved on your computer true ??

I mean its just no sense to write notes on a wordpad, because once u have 100+ entries u have to be looking for them and thats loosing time.

And also if u can write whatever u want, why writing difficult codes that can drive u into a confusion ???

I once a while ago now was playing in a net game on one of the more popular UK networks, The two guys I wrote this about,

“Chat Cheat with XYZ, chip schooler, Loose/Aggressive/Passive/V’Aggressive”

Did not play the same after I wrote that in the notes of the server notes section !

I belive there where TEAMING the Table. I also belive “some one could see what I had written”

3 hands after BOTH of them where OUT of the game with out playing another hand..

OK no problem, I was asked in my PM, what I do, I told you all now what I do ! For me a game of poker Evolves, people do not play the same way all the time, every game, it would be hard, the human psyche is not programmed for it, its not in our DNA, the same hands, I have studied it I have study card playes, some thing always changes there moods at any given time. The only player at the net table that plays the same way, the same time, all the time, is a AI-bot, I am sure if you look deeply into your notes I mean really L@@K, I think you may see the same as me.

When ( IMHO) making a note on a player please tell me you don’t write it in the 1st 20 or so hands and then never up date them as the game goes on???, Net players always play a card rush, and there is a ethos of “talking chips” on the net, Opposed to live where players justify there plays verbally, From what I have studied.

writing difficult codes

You write your own codes, they are just 3 I use for me, I find nothing hard about the concept
