This all depends on where you are in the tourny.
As you stated, you're on the bubble... so this is a fold to me.
A painful fold really... because he's doing nothing but abusing your short stack in the BB. Wait it out. Although really, you only have a few more hand.

Default consider myself shot - by myself

hi

lol

ok so I've been reading through this thread again and I cant honestly believe my own posts and my determined replies - so I am locking myself in a dark room and will be shooting myself

God knows how I got so tied up - well I have half and idea - trying to do too much at the same time would cover it

but indeed the order as you would be dealt on the BB then the SB then the button - I think there must have been somehthing else I was thinking about at the time with the original post and strategy

anyway my view is still fold - even if it means being short and going into the SB to possibly fold again

simply in my view K8 isnt a playable hand - even short staked your trying to defend the BB with a hand that is inevitably going to get called by at least one player with a stronger hand

there have been many occasions when I've been short stacked in an SNG and folded right down to 35-100 chips because none of the hands were defendable - and then come back with allins with decent hands / position to then finish in the money or 1st

same with MTT's is better if short stacked - realistically your not going to win but by hanging on you get double your buy-in back rather than gambling and coming away out of the money

cheers scrawnybob

No hesitation, insta fold. A lot of interesting comments here and tons of odds calculations but at the end of the day unless he was stealing ( which I doubt as he could afford to drop his SB ) he had either an ace or 2 paint minimum. As for the racontuers who would have called, I guess you elbows are sore from leanin on the rail.

it depends how the player plays but k8 can be dominated by lots of hands.

West Kootenays B.C.,... although this week it has felt like 'suckoutville',... real bummer past few days online,.. ranging in buy-ins from $1 to $26,.. didn't seem to matter. Eight tourneys in all,.. was sucked out on badly in 7 of them, lost the other as a 53:47 dog which was just fine by me. My fav. one tonight was when I raised up 3.5xBB with A-K, BB calls (he was in just about EVERY hand,.. a 'loose maniac' and had come over the top on me on a couple of hands which I ended up laying down, unfortunately,.. grrr...). Flop comes A-K-2,.. I bet around 8/10 pot, he actually comes over the top, pushing allin (I'm thinkin' finally,.. got this freak'n moron,.. unless he's got deuces??... I'll take the chance obviously,.. real tired of this guy's moves). I call and have him covered (barely) he rolls his cards over,.. a freak'n gutshot??? (he's got J-10). Turn comes,.. you guessed it, a freak'n Queen!!!

Kind of sickened by online poker this week,... sooo many wild, aggressive moves --- one guy pushin' with a stupid (poorly thought about bluff) another calling with '10' high and winning??? One after another,.. wah. Sickest part for me lately was that the majority of times I got sucked out on, I was a 4:1 favourite when I put my chips in. What are ya gonna do. Odds are that it'll all come around (usually does,... but this last week has just been brutal for me,.. to the point now where I'm completely re-evaluating what my intentions of playing online are,... just an avenue to see alot of cards and to play alot of hands,.. thinkin' I need to save my play for mostly live now as I'm gettin' way too disenchanted with the online garbage these days).
For low risk, entered the $3 KO 90plyr. on Fulltilt. One guy raises up 4xBB, another re-raises 3x that, other guy comes over the top going allin, first rasier calls, so does the other guy (last guy calling actually called the other two with A-9o??? can you even believe that,.. even crazier, he had the BEST hand preflop, LOL,.. hit his ace on the turn and tripled up, LOL). Even better, another guy on the table says, "Nice Hand", followed by another saying, "Very well played!" It was sickening. I asked him if he was for real,.. he couldn't see anything wrong with the play (A-9o guy), stating, "I won didn't I?"

Sorry I would have to lay this hand down. It doesnt really have any kind of straight value, and its not suited so if it comes to a flush, meaning you need 4 cards on the board, who has the ace? I mean I would look at it and say well I might get the pair on the flop but what a bad kicker, so I would fold it.
