hi nypokerpower and welcome to our community. im jacks by the way
i find your topics interesting for me personally bacause i think you remind ne of the old jacks- the jacks i was when i first discovered online poker (and poker in general btw- i learned to play online). you see my friend, there is no answer for you on the after dark side... off course i can tell you how i'd play or how i played it as a beginner because i remember myself playing these endless tables/avatars/nicknames/the all-in everyone on the first hand and the donk outs and the luckers whod take down tha hand of 8 people allin with 6-2 off, when hitting that straight....
it is fun- no doubt especially when you dont have a job and especially when it's free....
but if you want, and i mean really want to improve at poker and progress yourself, and maybe to build a bankroll- the poker after dark IS NOT THE PLACE. trust me, i've been through all this and thow my english isnt perfect- im speaking here from my heart.
even if you do take the round 1 down... have you ever even watched what happens at round 2? or round 3? seriously- the fact is, they are all the same and it would be very difficult for you to play in the next rounds.... because the level wont get higher, and when it will- will YOU be experienced enough to play it?
i'm not a genius and i have no intention of teaching you my style of playing because everyone is playing differently. what i am going to say- is that you need to read everything you can about poker strategy. read every tip the pros wrote on fulltilt. learn from your mistakes and try to observe the real money high stakes there- as i can see, you do have the spare time for it. and only by playing (after youve read all you can) you will achieve this special- your own playing style that really works. not in the short term but in the longer one. and when you will find your success at the long run, then it will shorten by its self.
let us know how you are doing. i wish you all the best
