its like Matt Damon says in Rounders 'You gotta bring in the chips when you have the best of it, and protect it when you don't'. The cards will eventually even out and you'll catch the draws you need or you get some beautiful flop when you check your BB with rags.
In tournements its hard to sit back and wait for good cards as the blinds are always going up, but in a cash game my best advice would be to sit there and play tight until you get some good cards. Once that happens and you start taking down a few pots the table will start to notice and you'll be able to bluff them more often.
Good luck, it will even out sooner or later - just hope you're not broke by then like i have been so many times before
its good to have bad cards early, alot of my wins have been when i couldnt get anything early,so i played very conservative till the cards got better and then tried to build my stack back. alot of times just a move to another table does the trick
My liitle experience at poker says that you should not try to bluff too much because the good players can tell when you do not have good cards and they will take advantage
and call you most of the time. Try mixing up your bets and maybe it will work better for you. Also watch what the other players are doing and it will help you to make better choices. Good luck and i hope you start wining !
yes, this definitely happens to everyone some more than others (me).
my mom (stop laughing) always has this advice, just wait it out. be patient. ive noticed in almost everygame you start getting good hands at some point.
ive made it in the money in games only winning a handfull of hands, because i just wasnt getting hands. though you probably do need to bluff a few to get there, choose your times wisely
ive also been playiong very bad poker lately
The best advice is patience, what are you calling or raising with and by how much on a raise?
Set yourself some limits and take your time working out what the other players are doing.
Too many times I have gone onto a table, called a 'nice hand' just to get a feel of the table, something like JTs then the guys around me raise way over BB leaving me with a loss straight away. Down already...
I have now learnt to stay very tight at the start and play premium hands only. Also try working out the raise amount where all the callers fall away, what is it 5x 4x BB? This lets you know that most of the time (as we all know nothing is exact) you will be left playing against a premium hand or a complete idiot.
Taking $0.30 on KK might seem like a waste of a monster hand, but I would rather win a lot of $0.30 pots than lose a lot of $0.30+ pots (think idiot call A2o and make AA).
Makes sense to me and works too, lol.![]()
freeroll it's not as buying tourney but if there isn't raise , you can call all hands, when there is small blind, or you have a lot of chips.gl
hiya with bad cards every1 gets them all i can suggest is wait! freerolls you can stay in for 40 mins without playing a hand and within 30 mins you will pick up a big poket pair or something like that just b paintient wait for the good cards to come to u dont try and make a crap hand become good because u will run into a huge hand hope u win more
ok the NL is very big play and very strng in poker
