I would limp in and see if you can trap the SB if you hit trips. Even if you miss the flop you might still have the best hand. A bet after the flop should let you know where you stand.

66 is alwyas a limper for me. You only raise if your HU, which i see in this situation you are. Pray your six comes or get out on flop. all i can say.

I would check to see the flop. With this stack, he'll call you down with any two cards. In theory, it's a coin flip against a random hand. Would just see a flop and if possible, outplay the guy from there or hope you both hit the flop.

if i were you, i would all in. %60 is better than %40 whatever result may be. but fold is a normal option, no harm. at normal times, check/call is best option i think

It depends on if the blinds are worth stealing if they are I go allin if they arent I will just limp and hope they hold up. But if this guy is as loose s you said he will most likely try to steal and hopefuly you hit trips so you can take a pot off him..

He got his monster chip stack by going all in with A-3 suited and getting a set, K-6 gets the flush, etc. Just a lucky bully. But most of the table is folding since they don't want an allin showdown.

So just to tell you guys what happened. I checked, flop came 447 rainbow. He pushes allin with k-2 I call. He hits his K on the river.

I knew it wasn't a good call. But i sensed he hit nothing, but was calling with a high card, whereas I had a made hand. We were 5 from the money in the tourney. I however only had 3,200 in chips, which would be pretty short stacked come final table,

It was a gambling decision, It didn't pay off.

But the question is: I read him correctly, I had a chance to double it up. In my estimation I had to make it through the turn and the river. So still a bad call?
OKAY... let me get this correctly... You're on the bb with 6-6, SB is bigstack bully and super loose.
Normally, holding 66 on bb with SB just calling,.. I'm going to raise it up a bunch, 3.5-4xbb (or whatever depending upon situation,.. ie. 'M', how my play has been perceived on the table, etc. etc... list goes on...).
6-6 is a good hand 'heads-up' cuz facing off with the SB is the same as bein' HeadsUP. I raise in an effort to take it down immed. By raising, now if the SB calls, he's going to be more likely to be a bit more hesitant to be if he doesn't connect with the flop or he should just fold right away. Sounds like he knows his chances are good by just shoving his stack in and forcing his opponents to a decision. I much prefer to be trying to put my opponents to the task of making a decision.
Depending on chipstack sizes, and where you're at in the tourney (like what is your 'M' here at this time?... how has your play been perceived so far at the table... are you known for showing down strong hands?). If you're got under 5M I'd just shove back on SB 'allin'. (it's difficult for me to give an answer as to what I personally would do,... all the plays prior to the one I'm currently involved in have bearing on what I would do in one particular situation,... but to suggest what play may have been what I would've done here,... hard to say without a bunch more info.).
You see alot of players like that online in micro buy-ins,... great players to double up through.
GL!

TO play this hand in an effort to hit 'trips'... I think that's totally out of context with the situation (sure if your stack is large, you're limping in from mid. or 'maybe' early, depending upon the table you're playing on,... alot of tables have players always coming in with large raises and sometimes re-raises in position,... so bye-bye to your limped chips,... sure if it's like 7% or under of your stack, earlier stages of tourney, etc.,... but to call from bb against one opponent, hoping to hit trips???)

I agree!!!! I believe it gives you better odds than 50/50 due to the potential possibility of the sb folding (even though he apparently doesn't).

It's not necessary 50/50, the SB only limp maybe he have K4/A2.. ANd you have a fold equity, maybe small but you have to take your chance.. Or you can wait and hope that others players will be away to earn more money it depends
