free rolls?
hey guys i play poker at bodog and fulltilt. i play a little money but like the free rolls for the practice. its nice being able to get a feel for bigger tournaments. that said its also nice to get a little some thing for nothing. so what im wondering is what the best sights are for NL hold'em free rolls.

Free Rolls
Fullt Tilt Poker has some great freerolls. Some are limited to Canadians players only but the payout is so much better than what I am accustomed to. Playing with 2600 players in a freeroll and finishing in 16 th position and winning $.19 isn't my idea of being rewarded for good play!

I think Bodog has loads of opportunities for freerolls, without the hassles of many sattelites. I started with bodog, maybe, two years ago... and since then their guaranteed freeroll payouts have dropped by 2/3. It used to be $1500 guaranteed, then $1000 guaranteed... now all of their freerolls are $500 guaranteed.
Also, when you are dealing with freerolls, I'm not sure how well you can get a feel for serious multi-table tournaments when 1000 people go out in the first half hour from "all-ins." I guess it's better in the final hours of the tourney when everyone is scrambling to hang on and at least place in the money.

Some great sites for freerolls
Hello All,
I love to play freerolls and I visit just about every poker room on the net. I like FTP, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker. Lately though, I have been playing at Rosso Poker because they have them every two hours and there are not many entrants allowing me an actual chance to cash. Anyhow, good luck wherever you go. Hope to see you all around at the tables.

In the bodog freerolls where u dont have to buy in for 30 PTS players are able to rebuy. For players who dont have cash and try to make some with an freeroll this is very annoying.
Never played at Rosso before, ill go and try it out soon..

I love the Bodog freerolls but I'm looking for freerolls with less entrants (something I'm sure everyone would like). I tried Absolute but honestly was thrown off by how long I had to play and how many people entered only to win fifteen bucks or something of equally low value. Does anyone know of other great sites for freerolls? I've actually never tried FT. I get discouraged because I think of FT like I do of Pokerstars, just too many players

I have played in a lot of Bodog freerolls, and I like the points buyin ones better...there are less people in them and the play is a bit better. I have also been in a lot of freerolls on microgaming sites like Poker Host and PokerTime ( and 100 more ). They have dseveral daily freerolls that you need to have played in at least one raked hand to enter. $500 freerolls pay .50 or something for 260th place, and have 700 or so entrants. Those are decent because there are less people in them and really .50 or $1 is better than the .05 and .16 prizes of a lot of other freerolls. The catch of course is that you need to have money there to play at ring tables, to get that raked hand to get in the freerolls. There is a daily 6:00 PM GMT I think that is open to all...it has several thousand players.

Thanks, I just don't have the patience to play against several thousand. My limit is a couple of thousand
But I guess it works out because a lot of them will play their junk and be taken out relatively early on in the game and then hopefully you can play some real poker.

Once you get a few bucks and can play that 1 raked hand (must be raked a quarter so the pot must reach $5.) you can get in the smaller friendlier games without 2,000 people ready to go allin with ace-rag.
