Pocket Aces
How do you play pocket A's? I always play them balls to the walls pre flop. How about you?

Deciding how to play aces really depends on teh tendencies of the other players at the table and your position pre-flop. I like to make a small raise in early position if I expect a re-raise.

Slow playing them sometimes backfires...balls out will win you a lot of small pots, but at least you'll win more often than not.

let that ish go
You've got to be paying attention to those sitting around your table. If you think you can get a preflop caller for your stack then I would say do it without hesitation. If you need to finesse them a lil bit, maybe its late or early in a tourney... do what you gotta do. Don't stay when you know you're beat. 4 spades out and neither of ur A's is spaded or whatever, play it like neother hand in that sense, if you failed in ur slow play let it go... just let it go man!

If I know I have early in a Freeroll a bunch of overagressive players who will either or most likely raise anything, I love to have them raise me so I can re-raise to all-in. A danger here would be too get too many callers which always dilutes the chances of your Aces prevailing. I agree with LombardiStix, if I need a big hit in a tourney, I would be willing to play the aces slower than normal to try to pull a big pot. But on the whole once u have subjected your aces to a flop, just remember aces dont draw well and everyone else's hands stand to improve, and as the hand progresses you may be more behind than you think, so be willing fold them. Thats why raise and isolate is the standard advice.

i always try to get them in a two handed situation, so nice raise before flop. Proceed with caution however if more then three players arein the pot. After all aa only a pair.

I hate 'em! If I bet them, everyone folds, if I just slow play or call 'em I always lose to a better hand! I give up!!!

your goal should be to play them, only concentrate on that.
if you know no -one will call your raise - just limp.
if you know you are gonna get action- raise the amount needed to get max 2 callers....
if you have ballsy players looking to play- raise big- this will disguise your strengt.
if youre under the gun at late levels- always raise, dont limp.
if you are at the big blind with them, bet the amount to get 1 caller, if there were several players all-in before you, it might be best to fold them.
in anyway- play the players while holding them- it's also a poker art of itself.

Folding AA pre flop
Supposedly there is a poker article on Full Tilt by Chris Fergusen about folding pocket aces pre flop. He says when he was playing freerolls and it was early in tourney, with multiple all ins before the action came to him he would fold the Aces. I guess it is the live to fight another day kind of thing. I am going to try and find article.
