Thread: Pay off credit debt with poker winnings LOL

It has been my experience that if you are playing poker to pay something off or you can not afford to lose the money you have put in, your play is affected and you end up becoming a scared poker player and not playing by the rules. Be careful... limit your on line gambling, and if it does not pay your regular bills, recognize what it is for what it is... a hobby.

Def agree with the post above about playing scared if you are trying to play poker to pay off debts, it only works well occasionally and hardly ever works as well as it did for Matt Damon. Unless you play poker as your main profession then I wouldn't reccommend setting out to play to pay off your debt as you could possibley end up in a worse prediciment. I'd probably just continue to play in the same way as I have done before and then when if I do manage to run up some good winnings then decide what to do with it then, as you'd be more likely to play your natural game without the added pressure of having to pay off debts.

I was lucky enough to be able to do this a few years ago when I ran up my bankroll up and had a profit of just under £2500 and I decided to pay off my tution fees for my first year at uni, but I didnt set out with that goal in mind and I dont think I would have the played the same if I had. But everyone is different and some people play better when they are under pressure to make a certian amount of money.

Just keep playing the way you are and if your previous run is anything to go by you should be able to withdraw some winnings and then decide what to do with it but dont rely on you poker winnings to pay off debts.

Just be thankful I don't have any loan sharks.. involved with my debt lol....

Don't need two broken knee caps... would rather have two pair...
