    Default 3 betting AK preflop

Hey just looking for some feedback on 3betting AK . I play at 25NL and so far have found that always reraising a raiser preflop when Im holding AK is profitable. In what circumstances is this a bad idea?

Does this play differ at higher levels?

    Thanks

    Thumbs up

Re raising with AK is only bad if you feel strongly that the other player may have a pair of 6s or higher. Sounds pretty dumb but 66 will beat you 50% of the time (check my calc). If you calculate the chances of 66 or better you have very good chance to profit. Remember that most players will raise your raise on 10-10 or better usually pre-flop.

ak is a hand that looks pretty but i fold it about 80% becaue in my case its a trap hand i would rather have pocket 2s beacause at least i already have a pair

and how are u going u to play 22s after the flop ? U have a 12% chance of flopping the send and if u don't your hand is garbage. AK is a good hand for ring games.

AK is a god hand. Thinks about it this way,

    AA > KK > QQ = AK > JJ > TT = AQ

AK is the third best hand in poker. If your opponent has something like 7-7, which is a coin flip vs AK, the 7-7 player shouldn't think he is ahead (because of higher pocket pair possibilitties)

You can profit from raising / re raising pre flop with AK against smart oppoents, but dumber ones will take the coin flip.

    Default right

ak is the last hand you would like to see a flop with..you must isolate the raisers by reraise to increase your chances even after a missed flop.
with ak you can almost always be sure you have at least 50 percent pre flpo to win the hand.
