I don't like cash game much. Because you can loose big time in there.

For the moment beeing I prefer shorthanded STTs to build up my bankroll, as normally two places out of 6 are paid.

I personally prefer tournament play (NLHE) as this is the area I have done the most research in and where I have more experience.
I also play a bit of cash table play.

One of the differences being that it is crucial to maintain your stack in tourney play whereas in cash game play you can try to get it in with a marginal advantage (ie. a flopped fl dr. with 2 overs, you're wanting to get all your's and your opponent's money in the middle,.. tourney play you might be more apt. to lead out with a semi-bluff bet on the flop in hopes of either taking the pot down right then and there or buyng yourself a free card on the turn,.. with huge backup if you do in fact hit your draw or if hitting your overs puts you ahead... also, you want to get it in prior to the 3rd fl card hitting the board as it will cease any action and you will be hard pressed to get paid off).

I actually prefer cash tables on Pokerstars cuz I find you can get plenty of actiono there on low buyin tables and don't like tourneys there for the same reason (too many callers playing garbage, making multiway family pots where you end up getting sucked out on).

Fulltilt is just the opposite for me,... low buyin cash tables seem to be heavily populated by super tight rocks and is very tough to get paid off (unless they get cold-decked).

The two games are definitely different from one another. Generally I prefer tournament play but usually only if I'm winning, lol.

Tournament. I prefer not to have my money literally on the table. Then I have to treat every pot I play with caution. In tournament, I can see free cards, steal, do more advanced plays without a big consequence.

i play tourney better because i aim for the whole prize pool instead of just a piece of the pot

tournaments are much more exciting then cash games. usually in cash games players play tight and play only with certain hands.
tournaments are where the real action is shown.
