The first satellites for Season 3 of the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) have now started on PokerStars. PokerStars are currently hosting daily satellites for EPT3 events with buy-ins starting from as little as $11.
The Tour starts in Barcelona, continues in London, Baden in Austria, Dublin, Copenhagen, Deauville in France, and culminates with the Monte Carlo Grand Final, which is again taking place at the Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort in Monaco, starting on March 28, 2007.
EPT Copenhagen (Scandinavian Open) -
January 17 - 20, 2007 - a four day tournament with a buy-in of €5,000.
Last year's winner, Mads Anderson, took home €341,427.
The package for EPT Copenhagen event is worth $8,400. This includes:
• Buy-in for the main event (€5,000)
• Five nights accommodation at the four-star Radisson SAS Hotel, breakfast included
• $1,000 towards your expenses
EPT Deauville (French Open) -
February 20-24, 2007 - a five day tournament with a buy- in €5,000.
Last year's winner, Mats Iremark, took home €480,000.
The package for EPT French Open event is worth $9,040. This includes:
• Buy-in for the main event (€5,000)
• Six nights accommodation at the four-star, Normandy Barriere, breakfast included
• $1,000 towards your expenses
EPT Monte Carlo - Grand Final -
March 28 - April 1, 2007 - a five day tournament with a buy-in of €10,000.
Last year's winner, Jeff Williams, took home €900,000.
The package for the EPT Monte Carlo Grand Final is worth $16,250. This includes:
• Buy-in for the main event (€10,000)
• Six nights accommodation at the four-star Monte Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, breakfast included
• Player dinner buffet for 6 nights
• $1,500 towards your expenses
Direct Buy-In Information
Players may buy in to EPT events using W$ providing they have PlatinumStar or Supernova VIP status on PokerStars.
Players may buy seat-only packages at the going exchange rate on the day of registration or they may also buy EPT accommodation packages. Any player buying directly through PokerStars is required to wear PokerStars clothing at the event.
Season 2 of the EPT was a massive success with over 2,000 participants and a total prize pool of $12,300,000. A total of 363 players qualified on PokerStars and the top four finishers at the Grand Final were all PokerStars qualifiers with the winner, 19-year-old American student Jeff Williams taking home $1,078,000.
EPT Season 1 attracted 1,468 players with more than 350 qualifying online with PokerStars.
