Eli Elezra aka Mr Vegas won the 7 card stud hi-lo split game this is his first gold bracelet having been a regular entrant since 1999. He finally beat poker pro Scotty Nguyen with an ace high straight after much battling.
Very much a local character on the Vegas scene he is known to have made several side bets on himself winning a gold bracelet and is believed to have netted him over half a million dollars from the win.
Probably the most colourful of final tables this year including such a mix from "by the book" Sklansky to the new breed of successful players like Hansen and Boyd.
Also worth noting that poker commentator Mike Sexton finished 18th with his 43rd cash in putting him a credible 8th on the all-time list.
